Motorcycle Tour to Publicize Environmental Protection

Three old men have begun their long motorcycle tour from south China’s Beihai City in a bid to publicize environmental protection, each carrying a self-made red flag.

The men, retired government officials in Beihai, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, spontaneously formed a group called “love-China millennium tour for environmental protection”.

They are Yao Yuzhong with Beihai City Construction Bureau, Pang Zhenwei with the Hardware Company, and Huang Shoufu, with the Harbor Administration.

Starting from Beihai on May 10, they were set to enter Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Zhejing, Jiangsu and Shanghai via Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin. Then, they will go to Shangdong, Hebei, Henan, before moving westward to Shannxi and Gansu, southward to Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, and finally returning to Beihai. The total mileage will exceed ten thousand kilometers.

While on route, they will distribute materials on environmental protection and contact local environmental protection offices and media organizations for more materials.
