A museum aimed at boosting sex education is being planned in southern Guangdong Province, reported Xinhua news agency.
The museum, estimated to cost 5 million yuan (US$600,000), will be located in a tourism zone in the city of Shaoguan, which is famous for steep cliffs and bizarre-shaped rocks.
Many of the rocks resemble the human anatomy, especially sex organs, leading to the Danxiashan tourism zone being called the “garden of natural nudity.”
Local officials say that the sex museum will combine nature and culture, featuring documents and materials on natural human desires, including the history of sex and sexual behavior.
Local officials hope that the museum will help bring more tourists to the area.
