Many people find themselves gaining weight over the winter season, as their appetites increase on the chilly days. To help people learn about foods that can increase body heat without increasing fat, the Xenical Slimming Club invited nutritionist Cai Meiqin from the Shanghai No.2 Medical University to speak on following a healthy diet.
Mutton full
Prepare 200 grams of mutton from the back leg, 200 grams of radish, 50 grams of garlic leaves, 25 grams of dried small chili and some ginger.
Cut the mutton and radish into cubes and scald the mutton. Stir-fry all the ingredients adding some soybean, rice wine and sugar. Then braise the mutton for another 45 minutes until it's tender before adding the garlic leaves.
The dish is rich in fiber, vitamin C, heat energy and protein, but contains very little fat.
Mutton can increase body heat and enrich the stomach and spleen, while radish is good for the digestive system.
