An international auto forum opened Monday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province, to help prepare the industry for the challenges that will emerge following China's accession into the World Trade Organization.
During the forum, experts and business professionals will discuss issues such as capital restructuring and its influence on the auto market, global procurement of parts and after-sale services.
China's automotive industry will face tremendous competition from overseas once China accedes to the WTO and becomes increasingly affected by globalization.
The goverment is taking measures to create the best investment environment to attract overseas financing.
