China's first live insect exhibition hall has opened to public in this East China metropolis.
The 3,000-square-meter building, jointly funded by a Chinese and a Singaporean company, exhibits thousands of live insects and reptiles of some 200 species, which were introduced from Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil and some other Southeast Asian and South American countries.
The new exhibition hall is expected to help to spread techniques for breeding valuable insects, and popularize biological knowledge to the public.
