"Sichuan is to focus on fostering tourism pillar industry and presenting famous scenic spot", said Zhang Zhong-wei, governor of Sichuan province on the Fourth Session of the Ninth Sichuan People's Congress.

When talking about the concrete measures to be implemented, Zhang said that Sichuan would foster tourism pillar industry in terms of natural ecology and historic culture. Meanwhile, Sichuan is to aim at developing a batch of internationally-known tourism spots including Sunan Bamboo Sea, Siguliang Mountain, Bifengxia and Hailuogou.

Besides, speed up to develop tourism commodity and cultivate high-quality tourism service enterprise are also the main task of Sichuan tourism this year, added Zhang.
