Sichuan Province has temporarily shut down 220 recreational centers and revoked the licenses of 95 others for having inadequate fire protection. The recreational centers were told to stop business so the problems can be rectified. The provincial fire department said the province launched a fire safety inspection in 2,644 businesses following a recent fire at a disco in Luoyang, Henan Province, which claimed 309 lives.
