Artistic Performance for the Zhuangs

Art workers from the Oriental Song and Dance Ensemble on December 17 came to Yining, south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and staged artistic performance for people of the Zhuang nationality. Picture shows Indian dance “Lila, Where are you?” performed by the artists.
China Oriental Song Dance Ensemble was founded as a state-class art troupe on 13 January, 1962 under the auspices of the late Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai and Vice Premier Chen Yi. It has always been this ensemble’s main mission to present to people all over the world the traditional Chinese national and folk singing and dancing art and music.
