A collection of lectures on Confucius and Confucianism, titled "Confucius and the World," was published in Qufu, Confucius' hometown in east China's Shandong Province.
The book is a collection of lectures delivered by famous scholars and experts over the past ten years at the Confucius Academic Hall, a forum on Confucianism close to Almond Forum where Confucius preached his thoughts more than 2,000 years ago.
"The collection reflects modern people's re-thinking over Confucius' thoughts, and marks top research results on Confucianism," said Professor Miao Fenglin, chairman of the hall.
The hall was set up in 1990 and holds annual meetings, inviting prestigious scholars of Confucius and his theory to give lectures.
