Two wild monkeys intruded into many apartments on Youzha Street in the capital of southwest China’s Guizhou Province on May 21.
They disturbed the peaceful life of local residents, ransacking boxes and chests and even fighting for foods with children.
According to Guo, one of the residents there, from 9 o’clock, the two monkeys kept disturbing many households. They littered his home belongings all over about and even fighting with his dog. Some children said that the monkeys once scratched and hurt a child.
Guiyang is a forest city. With the growth of forests in recent years, the city and forests are integrated, so that the monkeys living on the outskirts have frequently invaded residences.
The wild monkeys are considered a headache to Guo and his neighbors. They all hope that the forest management department will tighten controls over wild monkeys while effectively protecting them from being hurt.
