The sixth meeting of state coordinators of the "Shanghai Five" nations -- Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan -- was held June 10-11.
The coordinators finalized preparations for the summit meeting of heads of state of the five nations and Uzbekistan, to be held in Shanghai on June 14-15.
They reached agreement on all issues discussed and initialed a series of documents to be signed by the heads of state at the forthcoming summit meeting.
An Uzbekistan deputy foreign minister also attended the coordinators' meeting, which was chaired by Liu Guchang, China's Coordinator and an assistant foreign minister.
The first "Shanghai Five" summit meeting was held in Shanghai, China, in April 1996.
