Two correspondents from Chinese mainland left Beijing for Taiwan by way of Hong Kong for routine news reporting on Thursday morning.
Fan Liqing (female) and Chen Binhua, both from the Xinhua News Agency, are the first group of mainland correspondents assigned to Taiwan for a month for routine news reporting since the news exchanges across the Taiwan Straits began 10 year ago.
They are flying to Hong Kong on flight CA 101, and then taking another flight to Taiwan.
They are scheduled to arrive in Taipei late Thursday.
