A program to send giant pandas back to their original “home” is being carried out by reacquainting them with their natural surroundings.
The China Center for Protection and Research on Giant Pandas, based in Sichuan Province, has built an experimental zone to help bring back the wild nature of the rare animals.
There are about 150 giant pandas in captivity around the world, most of which have lost their wild nature, and have difficulties in natural mating.
The zone, covering more than 1,000 square meters, now is home to four giant pandas born last year.
