The funds will be used to build an Holiday Inn Hotel, a Safari, a hunting area and a sightseeing water route, according to an agreement signed on Sunday between Jipeng International Group and a civil aviation group from Hong Kong and local government department.

The project will begin March 2001 and be partially be opened to visitors in May. Jipeng Group will enjoy a 30-year franchise. An air route between Hong Kong and Xining will be opened soon for tourists to Qinghai Lake.

Jiang Jiemin, vice-governor of Qinghai, said Qinghai Province welcomes more businessmen from Hong Kong and Macao to invest in Qinghai and will promulgate more preferential measures to seek mutual benefit.
