The Postal Services of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) will on December 20 issue a set of stamps marking the first anniversary of the SAR's founding.
The set consists of two stamps with a face value of 2 patacas (25 US cents) and 3 patacas (37.5 US cents). A total of 750,000 sets will be issued, officials with the Postal Services said at a press conference in Macao Friday, December 15.
Other postal products such as souvenir sheet, first-day cover and introduction paper will be available at the same time. It will be the last set of 12 stamps issued in the Macao SAR this year.
Next year, the Postal Services will also issue 12 sets, namely the Lunar Year of the Snake, Idioms, Traditional Instruments, Convergence of Culture Religious Beliefs, the Macao Security Forces Fire Brigade, the Internet and E-commerce, Literature and its Characters the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Census 2001, Markets in Macao, Science and Technology Composition and Construction of DNA, Parks and Gardens, and I Ching-Pa Kua.
