Travel season set for Spring Festival

The annual Spring Season Transport will be held from January 9 to February 17 next year, the State Economic and Trade Commission announced yesterday. During the 40 days, 1.66 billion passengers are expected to travel in the country, up 2.7 percent from 2000. A transport rush occurs around the traditional Spring Festival every year because most people who work and study outside will return home.
