An exhibition of 18 dinosaur fossils excavated in sites across China opened Tuesday in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province.
The exhibition will be on for three months and attempts to recreate the life of dinosaurs dating back 220 million years, said an organizer.
The fossils are collected from four museums in Beijing, Chongqing and Chengdu.
About 50 fossilized specimens of some animals and plants that existed at the same time as the dinosaurs are also on display.
A range of other activities, including seminars and contests, will also be held to spread scientific knowledge and improve public awareness of protecting the environment.
Fifteen of the dinosaur fossils were exhibited in Hong Kong early in the year, attracting about 500,000 visitors.
