NIIT to Set Up Training Center in Guangzhou

The India-based National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), one of the world's largest educational institutions for computer science, declared, together with its Chinese counterparts, Tuesday that it is to establish a software design training center in Guangzhou, capital city of south China's Guangdong Province.

The new NIIT center, jointly established by the Guangdong-based South China University of Science and Engineering and an IT company, will train students with senior high school or higher educational backgrounds into specialists in software technology.

NIIT, which is engaged in developing IT and multi-media software products, providing e-business solutions and offering educational services, has so far set up some 2,950 training centers in 28 countries. It came into China in 1997, and has opened education centers in many big cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin.
