Chinese Foreign Minister Leaves for U.S.

Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan left Beijing Tuesday afternoon for the United States at the invitation of the U.S. side.

This is a return visit following the visit to China by U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell at the end of July.

During his U.S. visit, Tang is scheduled to exchange views with Powell and other U.S. leaders on Sino-U.S. relations, and on international and regional issues of common concern.
