A project to boost spreading of the general knowledge on the Chinese culture among overseas Chinese was launched Monday in the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Center.
The project will be operated both in English and traditional Chinese characters over the Internet by two giant Hong Kong-based portals, tom.com and china.com.
The content of the project includes the general knowledge on China and the nation, modern Chinese language, Chinese literature, Chinese history, geography, traditional culture, and historical places and scenery spots.
It is aimed to meet the demands of over 30 million overseas Chinese throughout more than 100 countries to inherit the cultural traditions of the Chinese nation.
