After five months of public selection, 10 women from Beijing were given the title of “Excellent Mothers of the New Century” Saturday.
The activity, initiated by Beijing Municipal Women’s Federation, offered a chance for children to choose the best mothers in the 21st century.
The winners of the title have done excellent work in educating their children and achieved outstanding achievements in their own careers like computer science, TV broadcasting and protecting the environment.
A lot of Beijing children and their mothers also wrote essays for the activity, expressing their belief that mothers should keep studying and improve their all-round capabilities in this competitive era.
