Gunbattle breaks out in Jalalabad of Afghanistan

A gunbattle erupted between militants and police in Nangarhar's provincial capital Jalalabad on Saturday, an official said.
"Some armed men entered the branch of Kabul bank this morning and opened fire. Police have been trying to control the situation, " spokesman for provincial administration, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, told Xinhua.
Abdulzai said that police have cordoned off the area and all shops around the area have been closed. He said he hoped that police would soon catch the intruders and get the situation under control.
However, he did not say if there were any casualties, saying that details would be made public after investigation.
