Wen spoke highly of the Sino-Russian ties, noting that the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination has seen unprecedented development as a result of joint efforts, which enhanced the confidence and determination of the two countries to join hands to cope with various challenges and safeguard common interests.
He said China would adhere to the road of peaceful development and support Russia in its rejuvenation as a strong nation, adding that the modernization of China and Russia would not harm other nations' interests.
Firm and strong China-Russia ties conform to the fundamental interests of both countries, and are also key guarantee for maintaining international strategic balance and boosting the progress and development of the world, Wen said.
Wen said that China and Russia have the responsibility, capacity and the confidence in safeguarding their common interests and promoting world peace.
Wen also put forward proposals on strengthening pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia.
