A landslide buried about 30 passengers on a highway in Antioquia department, northwestern Colombia, local media reported on Monday.
The director of the Administrative Department of the Prevention System, Disaster Assistance and Recovery (Dapard), John Fredy Rendon Roldn, said the tragedy occurred when the passengers were changing buses on the highway.
"There was a collapse on the road and some houses. At the time of the occurrence two buses of public services were making exchange of passengers and apparently between 20 and 30 people were trapped," the official told local media.
Currently the rescue work is underway, and the number of casualties is to be verified.
