Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Tuesday held talks with his Swiss counterpart, head of Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Micheline Calmy-Rey.
Hailing the 60-year China-Switzerland diplomatic relations, Yang hoped the two nations would work together to enhance bilateral ties on the basis of mutual respect, equality and reciprocity.
Calmy-Rey said the Swiss government valued the ties with China and would continue to stick to the one-China policy.
Switzerland would work with China to constantly expand pragmatic cooperation in various sectors, she noted.
The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on the UN reform, climate change and other regional issues.
Calmy-Rey was in Beijing on an official visit to China from June 27 to 29 as guest of Yang.
