At least two people were killed and six others injured in a bus accident in Kazakhstan Monday night, and among the the casualties were four Chinese, a Kazakh emergency department official told Xinhua Tuesday.
A coach carrying 26 passengers overturned in Almaty region on its way to Almaty city from China's Xinjiang region, said the official.
The Chinese driver of the coach, which belongs to a local transport company of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, was killed on the spot, he said. Three Chinese passengers were injured.
A Chinese embassy official confirmed Tuesday of the Chinese casualties in the accident.
The injured were rushed to a village clinic and were not in serious condition, he added.
The cause of the accident was under investigation, he said.
