At least 11 persons were killed and 21 others injured in a bus accident in Sindhupalchowk district in central Nepal on Friday night.

According to Saturday's THT Online report, the bus heading to Bekhsimle of Kavre district from Chehere of Sindhupalchowk met with the accident in the district at 9.30 p.m. local time (1545 GMT), some 40 km north of Kathmandu, Heramba Sharma, Inspector at Barhabise Area Police Office said.

The ill-fated bus had skidded some 30 meters down from the road, said the report.
