Wen's visit consolidates DPRK-China relations

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has consolidated and developed the DPRK-China relations, a leading DPRK newspaper said Tuesday.

The visit will be remembered forever in the history of the bilateral ties, the Rodong Sinmun said.

Wen's visit to the DPRK showed that China treasures the friendship between the two counties and attaches great importance to the consolidation and development of the friendship, the paper said, adding that the visit has added great meanings to the DPRK-China Friendship Year.

The DPRK will further develop the DPRK-China friendship as in the past, which is not only in the interests of the two peoples, but also conducive to world peace, it added.

Wen paid an official goodwill visit to the DPRK from Oct. 4 to Oct. 6.
