Chinese President, Hu Jintao, arrived in New York to attend a series of key UN meetings. He's also scheduled to attend the G-20 financial summit in Pittsburgh.

Hu Jintao will attend the UN Climate Change Summit which opens on Tuesday. There, he will call for stronger international efforts on climate change. The president will elaborate on China's stance and proposals on the issue.
President Hu will also attend the annual general debate of the UN General Assembly and Security Council's Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Summit. He will then proceed to Pittsburgh to attend the G20 financial summit.
