Lakme Fashion week closed in Mumbai on Tuesday with top models showcasing the contemporary bridal wear collection by designer Anamika Khanna.
The ramp was decorated like a temple with fabrics and floral bells suspended from the ceiling and lamps lining the edges.
The collection titled 'Bridal Sutra' was presented as a three-part bridal wear story, all with ethnic elements styled into a fusion look.
The Pastel Collection used shades of coral, salmon, pink and peach while the Prints line had colorful patterns.
Floral embroidery, tiny digital Rajput figurines for prints on silk, antique zardosi and pearls embellished the creations.
Khanna used flowing summary fabrics like chiffon and cotton in soft silhouettes with glittering borders to give her creations a feminine look.
The line also included net paneled long skirts worn over churidars or tight pyjamas, saris worn short but with cigarette pants or churidars and flowing kaftans.
