China is getting closer to choosing the country's best NBA cheerleaders. The contest is going down to the wire in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, with 8 cheerleaders advancing to the finals.

A total of 30 cheerleaders from six cities took part in the semifinals of the NBA cheerleader contest on Tuesday night. They showed their dancing skills on the stage, with the top eight moving on to the finals in Beijing on the 14th of October. The top 6 will have the chance to be trained in the United States and showcase their skills during NBA games in China.
