Serie A champions Inter Milan have now arrived in Beijing in preparation for their Italian Super Cup match against Coppa Italia holders Lazio. The match will be played at the Bird's Nest Stadium on Saturday to mark the one-year anniversary of the Beijing Olympic Games.
Chinese fans waited at the airport as the Italian giants Inter Milan arrived in Beijing earlier today, four days before the Serie A champions meet Lazio in Italian Super Cup. The Italian Super Cup is the traditional curtain raiser for the forthcoming Serie A season, and this year the match will be played at the Bird's Nest Stadium on Saturday.
Inter Milan signed Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o from Spanish side Barcelona last week in a swap deal which saw Inter's Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic moving to the Nou Camp.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho is confident Eto'o's vast experience of winning titles with the Catalan side will help Inter Milan in their quest for a Champions League title this season. Italian football officials are attempting to increase global interest in Serie A, which has suffered in comparison with the English and Spanish leagues in recent years. Lazio had already arrived on Sunday.
