Two people were killed and several injured when supporters of two rival soccer teams clashed outside a stadium in the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa.
Authorities said the violence broke out as fans confronted each other after leaving the game. At least two football fans died and several wounded by gunfire in the fighting, which started started as fans left the stadium.
The two fatalities were believed to be a 12 year old boy and a 35 year old man. Officials said a dozen more supporters were badly beaten in the violence. Police arrested dozens when they moved in to restore order.
Violence in football matches is nothing new in Honduras, where diehard fans frequently clash with supporters from rival teams.
