Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has met with visiting US Secretary of Commerce, Gary Locke, and Energy Secretary, Steven Chu.
Premier Wen said China and the US have explored fruitful negotiation and coordination in terms of financial crisis, climate change and counter terrorism. These achievements boost bilateral ties and provide favorable conditions for future cooperation.
Premier Wen encouraged the two countries to increase dialogue and deal with the divergence of views on the basis of mutual benefit.
The US side pointed out that the Sino-US ties is most crucial ones and it is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in fields of economy, trade and slowing global warming, to promote a sustainable development for the whole world. Chu and Locke arrived in Beijing Tuesday afternoon.
