Celebrations marking the LA Lakers victory over the Orlando Magic in Game 5 of the the final series to win the championships turned ugly on Tuesday.
Lakers' fans took to the streets of Los Angeles to mark the 15th NBA title in their franchise history, but things got out of hand when fans swarmed vehicles trying to pass through the area, jumping on their roofs and bonnets or rocking them back and forth.
Others decided to commit acts of vandalism. Several groups took down street signs and billboards while there were no police in sight. Despite the chaos, the city of Los Angeles is expected to honour the Lakers with a proper victory parade on Wednesday.
