The tail fin from Air France flight 447 has been transported to the Brazilian city of Recife. It was recovered with other debris from the Atlantic Ocean.
France's ambassador to Brazil watched as the tail fin was unloaded on Sunday. He said he was there to meet families of the victims, Brazilian authorities, and the teams of French experts working on identifying the bodies.
The search continues for bodies and debris. The Brazilian Air Force has lowered the total number of bodies recovered from 44 to 43.
Air France says it is speeding up a pre-planned replacement programme on speed sensors, as there have been reports of temporary loss of air speed data on previous Airbus flights.
