The US is considering returning the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to its list of states which sponsor terrorism.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed the US intentions during an interview with ABC TV.
Clinton admitted that some Senators have asked to put the DPRK back on the "terror state" blacklist.
She added that the administration has begun to consider the move against Pyongyang.
The Bush administration removed the DPRK from the terrorism blacklist last October.
This was after Pyongyang agreed to all U.S. nuclear inspection demands, under the six-party talks.
