The 23-man Brazil squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and June's Confederations Cup in South Africa was announced on Thursday. But to people's surprise, AC Milan midfielder Ronaldinho was not on the list.

The 29 year old is a three time World Footballer of the Year and a World Cup winner in 2002. Despite his many honours, he won't be appearing at either Brazil's South American World Cup Qualifiers or the Confederations Cup.
Brazil coach Dunga said Ronaldinho was "not having a good time" at the moment. His failure to hold down a first team place at club side AC Milan was the reason behind his omission. There was also no place for former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo, who has just returned from a career threatening knee injury.
