Song Zhuang, in the southeast part of Beijing, has become a new stronghold for modern art in the Chinese capital. An exhibition for both foreign and Chinese artists is being held at the L.D.X Contemporary Art Center, one of the more active galleries in the Song Zhuang Art Zone.
German Artist Nadono Hana has landed her newest exhibition at L.D.X. Hana is a medical doctor working in China, but has also been an amateur painter for a dozen years. She found her first muse in western art, absorbed by the bright colors of abstract paintings. Then after several years of working and living in Beijing, the city is now a source of her inspiration.
Chen Qingqing's Installations are another exhibition currently at L.D.X. Chen considers installation art as a vital pipeline for expressing herself. She also favors the atmosphere of the Song Zhuang Art Zone, and even based her studio here.
