China has rejected claims it has manipulated yuan exchange rate policies to tilt trade flows against the US.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu made the statement on Thursday in response to US Congressional moves to curb China's exports unless China realigns its exchange rate.

US lawmakers had earlier unveiled a plan to retaliate against countries that manipulate their currencies to share an edge in international trade.
