Over in the US, a gunman has killed seven residents and one nurse at a nursing home in North Carolina.
A police officer and several others were also wounded before the suspect was finally shot and apprehended.

The shooting rampage took place on Sunday morning in the town of Carthage. Officials have identified the suspect as 45-year-old Robert Stewart of Moore County.
Authorities say the gunman faces eight counts of first-degree murder. He also faces a charge of felony assault against a law enforcement officer.
