A seminar on economic cooperation between China and France was held in Paris on Tuesday. More than a hundred representatives from French industry and commerce sectors gathered to discuss China's economic stimulus plan and the business opportunities it will bring French investors.
The French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde spoke highly of the Chinese government's economic stimulus package, saying that it is pragmatic and fits China's national status. Largarde also said French entrepreneurs should strengthen cooperation with Chinese companies, and she hoped that France will play a more important role in China's economy. Meeting attendees believed that French investors could find business opportunities in China in industries such as transport, energy and services.
French Company Representative said "We are managing the high-speed railway transportation in France, we've also developed railways routes in some other European countries. Meanwhile, we're maintaining smooth cooperation with China's Ministry of Railways for the development of high-speed trains."
