An expo featuring energy-saving, emission reduction and new energy sources for China is underway in Beijing. The China International Energy Saving, Emission Reduction and New Energy Science and Technology Expo is attracting more than 200 companies and institutions from both home and abroad.
The enterprises are showcasing their advanced technology in the 23-thousand square-meter exhibition+ area. The five-day show is co-sponsored by 13 government departments, including the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission.
The expo will also provide visitors and exhibitors with consultative services in the fields of financing, patent and law. The Ministry of Finance says China will enhance and support the development and utilization of new energy sources. The expo will close on Monday.
Wang Bao'an, Director of Department of Economic Construction of MOF said "We are giving fiscal support to the field in two aspects. One is to bolster science and technology development. The other is to provide favorable policies and guidance on new energy development. In fact, we have gradually enhanced such support over the past years. While in terms of specific projects, we have focused on development of new energy vehicles, ranging from hybrid cars to electric and fuel cell vehicles."
