"Homeland" is a song which pays homage to the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China. And the music video was announced in Beijing earlier this week. The internationally renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang will star and contribute the piano solo.
Lang Lang says he is very honored and he hopes express the younger generation's best greetings to the motherland, and let the whole world see a youthful and energetic country.
Lang Lang, Pianist, said, "When I started to study piano as a child, I did it for myself and my family. Since I had studied abroad, I came to realize that each of my behavior represents the whole Chinese people. Now I remind myself every time when I play concert that I'm representing Chinese people, and that encourages me very much. I have been even more proud since the 2008 Olympics was successfully held in Beijing."
The director of the music video, Zhang Yibai has recorded the significant moments of the nation for years. From the "Forever Friends" before the Olympics, the "In Life or Death" commemorating the Sichuan Earthquake, to the Beijing Olympics theme song "You and Me" Zhang says he is under great pressure.
