Political turmoil upgrades in Pakistan

The rulings also removed his brother, Shahbaz Sharif, as Punjab Chief Minister.

The brothers have accused President Zardari of orchestrating the court decision and called for demonstrations.

Nawaz Sharif, Oppositon PLM-N Leader, said, "Zardari, we respect you. There is no need for you to resign, but you must confront this illegal and unconstitutional action. This is a bad day for Pakistan."

The lawyers from Nawaz Sharif's party plan to start mass rallies on March 12th. The protests will take place around the country and will reach Islamabad in phases. And on March 16th, they will stage a sit-in before the parliament.
