Monday marked the last day of the short track speed skating competition at the Winter Universiade.Two powerhouses, China and South Korea evenly split the gold medals on offer.

China cruised to take the gold medals in the women's 1,000m, 3,000m relay and the men's 5,000m relay, while South Korea dominated in the men's 1,000m final. Liu Qiuhong, beat her teammate Zhou Yang to lift the trophy in the women's 1,000m final with 1 minute 31.657 seconds. Zhou, winner in the women's 1,500m, took the silver medal with a time of 1 minute 31.679 seconds, beating Jung Ba Ra of South Korea to third place.
