A baby Hainan Gibbon has been born in Bawangling National Nature Reserve in the southern island province of Hainan.

Reserve workers found the baby in its mother's arms on a tree Monday morning.They estimate it was born at the beginning of the month. The baby gibbon appears to be healthy. It brings the total population of Hainan Gibbons in the world up to 20.
