A planeload of humanitarian supplies for the people of Gaza landed at Israel's international airport late on Wednesday.
The supplies were organized by the United Nations Children's Fund and will be transferred to Gaza over the next day or two.
Israeli officials responsible for coordinating aid to Gaza said Israel would assist the UN and all other agencies to enhance the well-being of the Gaza population. But aid workers say the fighting in the region is still preventing them from reaching all those who need help.
