A tournament known as "RoboCup" has concluded in Zhongshan city in south China's Guangdong Province.

For three days, robots grouped by function and size competed in 39 events, including soccer and dancing.

Football was one of the highlights, where the robots showed off their high-tech visual capabilities. This year saw the participation of more than 400 teams from 110 universities and institutions around China, as well as 10 teams from overseas.

The organizers say the competition allows the country to showcase its state-of-the-art research in robot technology.
