The convention runs until October 23. There are seminars and workshops and plenty of opportunity for clownish shopping sprees for eccentric costumes, funny shoes, make-up, magical devices and freaky wigs.
Maya, clown from Mexico, said, "When we grow up we don't become adults, we become adulterated. The clown's role is bring out the child inside - and all the simple purity of the child's heart. It's difficult to make people smile in these high pressure times. But it's not impossible".
